Kayaking La Bufadora

Baja Wine and Paddle

Starting from $949

OVERVIEW

Located less than two hours from San Diego, Ensenada is a beautiful port city on the Pacific Coast of Mexico’s Baja peninsula. At its heart is the harbor and waterfront area with the Malecón promenade. Southwest of the city is a spectacular marine geyser called La Bufadora, the second largest in the world. This marine geyser rises more than 30 meters above sea level, producing a sound that gave it its name. A kayak is the perfect vehicle for exploring this coastline and getting up close to the geyser.

A short drive inland from Ensenada, is Valle de Guadalupe, Baja’s wine region that has been described as the Napa Valley of Mexico, and for good reason. It’s 1000 foot elevation and Mediterranean micro-climate create ideal conditions for growing red wine grapes. Also, its fine dining restaurants offer sophisticated food at a fraction of what you’d pay in the US.
