What is the Adventure People Travel Club?

Adventure People is a social community and travel club founded in 2008 in Southern California. Our mission is to connect adventure-loving people to enjoy once-in-a-lifetime experiences and make lifelong friendships. We have local chapters on Meetup.com for members to participate in local events and meet regularly to discuss upcoming travel club trips as well as discuss places you would like to travel to. We strive to be unique, to find and create the greatest adventures. From camping in Zion National Park to hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, we offer a mix of weekend road trips and international vacations. We are a member run club that is built to give back to members who take leadership roles within the community.

What are the benefits of becoming a Local Chapter Organizer?

We work hard to provide the most innovative and flexible benefits for our Local Chapter Organizers, who are our partners and most important global ambassadors. You are the face of Adventure People and responsible for building the community in each city. You will run a localized travel club and organize local activities and weekend road trips in which you will participate at no cost but your time. For those who prove themselves to be great leaders, you may be asked to become a trip leader on 1-2 travel club trips per year, where you will travel for FREE. In addition, you’ll make lots of new friends, gain life skills, and be able to keep your day job.

As we continue to grow, the number of group tours that the club can organize also increases, thus allowing for a larger choice of group tour options for our members. Growth in the club also helps reduce the costs of the trips through larger volume discounts from our travel suppliers.

What are the Responsibilities of a Local Chapter Organizer?

Local Chapter Organizers are the heart and soul of the travel club. Representing the club comes with significant responsibility and includes a commitment to organizing monthly social events and local activities in your spare time.

* Find and organize local social gatherings and activities in your area.
* Organize regular trip planning Meetups to discuss upcoming Travel Club Trips and discuss ideas for future trips.
* Find and organize people to travel on Adventure People Travel Club trips.
* Post photos from local events as well as travel club trips.
* Cross post events to Adventure People website.
* Invite other Event Organizers to post events related to various adventure sports.
* Engage with the community through social media
