Sustainability Commitment

We choose our local travel partners based on their commitment to social and community development and environmental preservation. Our local partner for Fiji is a member of the Mamanuca Environment Society which was created in 2003 out of growing concern for the fragile marine and terrestrial ecosystems in this region. It brings local village communities, tourism operators, government, and non-governmental organizations together to collaborate and work towards preserving and protecting this area with initiatives to raise awareness and promote sound environmental practices for the benefit of future generations of communities living, working, and visiting the Mamanuca group.

Is This Trip Right for You?

  • The accommodations included in this itinerary are a 4* Resort on Nacula Island that has been recently renovated but is more Fijian authentic. On Naukacuvu Island, we will be at a luxurious 5* resort. On Denarau Island, we will be in a guest room apartment located a 1 min walk from the port.

  • This trip includes a high-speed catamarans as well as other motorized water transportation. The catamaran ride is 4.5 hours, making stops at several islands for travelers to get on and off to go to their resorts.

  • This tour requires a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 16 participants in order to ensure the best small group tour experience. With such a small group, you’ll be able to enjoy activities that would not be accessible to more people.

  • There are several snorkeling opportunities on this trip and you must know how to swim and be comfortable being in the ocean for you to participate.

  • The weather in Fiji in December can be quite hot and humid with temperatures in the 90’s. It is recommended that you carry water with you at all times and stay hydrated.

  • A single supplement is available if you’d prefer to not share a room on this trip, but is based on availability.

  • Culture is very important in the islands, so we ask you to respect a few practices upon entering any village. Please remove any hats or sunglasses when entering the village and ladies are required to have shoulders and knees covered. A sarong is a great option to wear when visiting the village.
