  • The accommodations included in this itinerary is a 4-star hotel in Auckland.

  • This trip includes a bioluminescent kayak tour that takes place on arrival day at 10:15pm. 

  • This trip is designed as a ‘Trip Extension,’ so you may not be accompanied by an Adventure People group leader if booked as part of a group trip.

  • This trip will run with a minimum of two people.

  • This trip includes a 40-minute ferry ride from Auckland to Waiheke Island. The ferry ride is a popular and scenic journey, but there is a possibility of encountering rough seas, particularly during the winter months and in adverse weather conditions. If you are prone to seasickness, please come prepared. 

DAILY ITINERARY

  • Arrive in Auckland | Free Time | Bioluminescence Kayak Tour

    Day 1

    Upon arrival at Auckland International Airport (AKL), you'll be greeted by a driver who will transfer you to your accommodation. Enjoy some free time to explore this vibrant city and this evening, hop on a kayak with local Kiwi guides for an exhilarating night paddle, and witness the phenomenon of bioluminescence.

  • Auckland | Ferry to Waiheke Island

    Day 2

    This morning, we’ll board the ferry for a 40-minute ride to Waiheke Island, known as the “Island of Wine,” Waiheke boasts numerous boutique vineyards producing award-winning wines.  Beyond its vineyards, Waiheke offers stunning beaches with pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing in the sun. The Hop-On-Hop-Off Explorer bus stops at 16 destinations, so you can explore the island at your own pace.

    Day 3

    Today you’ll have the day free to explore this vibrant city. Often referred to as the "City of Sails," Auckland earns its nickname from the vast number of yachts that grace its harbors, reflecting the city's deep maritime heritage and its residents' strong affinity for sailing and water activities. Start your exploration with a visit to the iconic Sky Tower, offering panoramic views of the city skyline and beyond.
