What to Expect

Exclusive Experiences
On our tours, you won’t just observe local life—you’ll become part of it. We’ll open the doors to artisan workshops, family kitchens, private homes, and behind-the-scenes spaces where locals practice their crafts and preserve generations of tradition—and invite you to join in. Whether it’s learning to make fresh pasta with an Italian chef or discovering the art of coffee production alongside a Costa Rican farmer, we create hands-on experiences that bring each destination vividly to life.
VIP Treatment
Thanks to our relationships with trusted travel partners around the world and our affiliation with a highly reputable Virtuoso Agency — no matter where you go with us, you’ll be treated like a VIP.
Free Time to Explore On Your Own
Our trips are thoughtfully designed to strike the perfect balance between guided exploration and personal freedom. We believe that while expert-led travel removes the stress and guesswork from planning, it should never mean sacrificing your independence. That’s why we build in plenty of free time for you to follow your own curiosity—whether that means relaxing at the beach, wandering through hidden alleyways, or discovering a new adventure. For those who want a little more structure, we also offer a curated selection of optional activities, so you can tailor each day to suit your pace and interests.

Small Groups, Big Difference
Travel is about making true connections, which is why we limit our group trips to 10-16 people max, so you can do just that. You’ll share the journey with like-minded adventurers, creating real bonds that often last long after the trip ends. Whether you’re sharing a meal or hiking alongside new friends, our trips are designed to foster true connection—with people, places, and yourself.
Expertly Vetted Everything
From the hotels we book to the restaurants we choose, we have thoroughly researched and chosen places to reflect the spirit of your journey—elevated, immersive, and intentionally curated. We seek out accommodations that are stylish, sustainable, impeccably clean, centrally located, and many have stories of their own to tell. By partnering with businesses that reflect our own values of sustainability, authenticity, and community connection, we ensure that every aspect of your journey supports and celebrates the places and people you visit.

Local Guides you'll love
To truly experience the heart of a destination, there’s no substitute for a local’s perspective. That’s why on every tour, you’ll be guided by a local insider who knows the place inside and out—from the flavors of the latest food trends to the vibe of the coolest neighborhoods and the secrets of the lesser-known spots. Their deep knowledge and personal connection to the destination bring each moment to life in a way only a true local can.
Experienced Trip Leaders
On our group trips, you’ll be accompanied by a trusted Trip Leader or Local Representative. These seasoned pros are problem-solvers and cultural connectors who make your journey seamless and enriching. They handle all the logistics and help navigate everything from currency conversions to local etiquette.
Multiple Departures
We offer multiple departure dates per tour for maximum schedule-matching potential. And we make tours available for booking up to two years in advance, in most cases, giving travelers more time to pay.
Lots of ways to pay
Every traveler’s budget is different, which is why we offer several ways to pay. We’ve recently partnered with Klarna to offer travelers the option to pay over time with a payment plan.

Where Do You Want to Go?
We plan our group trips based on input from our community. As we’re planning our tour calendar, we’d love to know what destinations and experiences you’re dreaming of. Travelers between their 30’s and 60’s are the majority, but our trips see people from age 21 to 80. As we’ve found age is only a number, the variety of ages has never been a factor to the group dynamics.
Our groups range in size depending on the destination and the activities but generally are 6 to 12 adults.
While some of our tours are more challenging than others, most are designed to accommodate participants of all ability levels. However, you’ll get the most enjoyment from your trip if you are reasonably fit. Some trips may include high altitude treks, scuba diving, or other skilled activities and the difficulty level will be listed in the itinerary. Not a problem! We put extra emphasis on serving the needs of the growing solo traveler market. Our group tours are comprised of 70% solo travelers and you’ll never be required to pay a single supplement unless you want your own room. We will always offer roommate matching to pair you with a same-sex roommate.
The earlier you book, the better. Sometimes we reach capacity months prior to departure. Booking your flights early will also save you money. You can always change your mind and you won’t be charged to transfer to a different trip before your final payment is due.
We work with licensed local guides who are experts in the destination and/or activity they are leading. In addition, you will either have local representatives who will be with you part of the time, or you will be traveling with a trip leader who will be with you throughout the tour to ensure the smooth operation of the trip, handling all of the local logistics, and dealing with any unforeseen situations that may arise.
Reservations on a tour are typically limited to a maximum of two per person to ensure that everyone who wants to go has the opportunity to do so. Should you have a request to book more than 2 spots, please contact us.
We primarily use 4* star hotels for our group trips in combination with cultural experiences such as eco-lodges, desert and jungle camps, sailing yachts, sleeper trains, and other multi-share sleeping quarters. Please check the individual itinerary for information.
