What Others Think About Us

FAQ
What’s included in the trip price?
Included in the tour cost is an expert trip leader throughout, licensed local expert guides, accommodation, transportation, meals indicated in the itinerary, and all mentioned activities and entrance fees.
What’s not included in the trip price?
Not included in the tour price is flights, travel insurance (which is required), any passport/visa fees, meals not indicated in the itinerary, single supplement fees (if you want your own room), and any optional activities not listed in the itinerary.
What are your COVID policies?
We follow the rules of the country we are visiting. Should they require vaccinations, participants will be required to be vaccinated. Check with the local embassy for the country you are visiting https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/COVID-19-Country-Specific-Information.html. Should COVID testing be required as a condition of entry or exit, you are responsible for obtaining these tests at the required time before boarding your flight.
What is the age range of people on your trips?
Travelers between their late 20’s and 60’s are the majority, but our trips see people from age 22 to 75. As we’ve found age is only a number, the variety of ages has never been a factor to the group dynamics.
What is the average group size for your trips?
Our groups range in size depending on the destination and the activities, but generally range in size from 6 to 16 people.
What do the Physical Ratings on the itinerary mean?
While some of our tours are more challenging than others, most are designed to accommodate participants of all ability levels. However, you’ll get the most enjoyment from your trip if you are reasonably fit. Some trips may include high altitude treks, scuba diving, or other skilled activities and the difficulty level will be listed in the itinerary. To see what each rating means, please visit https://adventurepeople.net/physical-ratings/.
What if I am traveling solo?
Not a problem! We put extra emphasis on serving the needs of the growing solo traveler market. Out tours are comprised of 70% solo travelers and you’ll never be required to pay a single supplement unless you want your own room. We will always offer roommate matching to pair you with a same-sex roommate.
I found an adventure that I’m interested in, when should I book?
The earlier you book, the better. Sometimes we reach capacity months prior to departure. Booking your flights early will also save you money. You can always change your mind and you won’t be charged to transfer to a different trip before your final payment is due.
Tell me about your guides.
We only work with licensed local guides who are experts in the destination and/or activity they are leading. In addition, you will be traveling with a trip leader who will be with you throughout the tour to ensure the smooth operation of the trip, handling all of the local logistics, and dealing with any unforeseen situations that may arise. Our trip leaders are always on hand, every day of the trip, to provide additionanal information, create spontaneous activities, join the group for non-included activities and meals, and ensure that the trip is as memorable, fun, and informative as possible.
Will I have any free time to myself?
Yes. There is usually designated “free time” built into the itinerary so you can explore on your own. Our guides and your trip leader will be on hand to give you suggestions, help you decide what to do, and be around to assist with any transportation or other needs. We want you to explore and break out of your comfort zone!
How many spots can I purchase on a tour?
Reservations on the tour are typically limited to a maximum of two per person to ensure that everyone who wants to go has the opportunity to do so.
What kind of accommodations do you use?
We mostly use 3-4* star hotels for our trips in combination with cultural experiences such as eco-lodges, desert and jungle camps, sailing yachts, sleeper trains, and other multi-share sleeping quarters. Please check the individual itinerary for information.
Will I need travel insurance?
Yes, all participants are required to have travel insurance for the duration of the trip. You will be asked to submit this prior to departure and if you don’t have it, you won’t be able to continue on the tour.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, you must be 18 years of age or older.
Will I need to fill out any release forms?
Yes, you’ll be required to fill out and sign a liability waiver releasing us from any and all liability related to the tour. In addition, should you have any pre-existing medical conditions, a medical form will be required to be signed off by your doctor before you will be allowed to travel on one of our group tours.
What if I change my mind? What is your refund policy?
We understand plans change. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, but can be transferred to another trip within one year after booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to the start date of the trip. No refunds will be given after the due date. To review the full terms and conditions, please visit https://adventurepeople.net/terms-conditions/.
Is there a waiting list?
People sometimes have to cancel due to reasons outside of their control. If a trip is full and you’d like to be added to our waiting list, please email us at info@adventurepeople.net.
I still have questions. Can I contact you?
Of course! Our email is info@adventurepeople.net.
