What Others Think About Us

FAQ

Included in the tour cost is an expert trip leader throughout, licensed local expert guides, accommodation, transportation, meals indicated in the itinerary, and all mentioned activities and entrance fees.

Not included in the tour price is flights, travel insurance (which is required), any passport/visa fees, meals not indicated in the itinerary, single supplement fees (if you want your own room), and any optional activities not listed in the itinerary.

We follow the rules of the country we are visiting. Should they require vaccinations, participants will be required to be vaccinated. Check with the local embassy for the country you are visiting https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/COVID-19-Country-Specific-Information.htmlShould COVID testing be required as a condition of entry or exit, you are responsible for obtaining these tests at the required time before boarding your flight.

Travelers between their 30’s and 60’s are the majority, but our trips see people from age 21 to 80. As we’ve found age is only a number, the variety of ages has never been a factor to the group dynamics.

Our groups range in size depending on the destination and the activities but generally are 6 to 16 adults.

While some of our tours are more challenging than others, most are designed to accommodate participants of all ability levels. However, you’ll get the most enjoyment from your trip if you are reasonably fit. Some trips may include high altitude treks, scuba diving, or other skilled activities and the difficulty level will be listed in the itinerary. To see what each rating means, please visit https://adventurepeople.net/physical-ratings/

Not a problem! We put extra emphasis on serving the needs of the growing solo traveler market. Our group tours are comprised of 70% solo travelers and you’ll never be required to pay a single supplement unless you want your own room. We will always offer roommate matching to pair you with a same-sex roommate.

The earlier you book, the better. Sometimes we reach capacity months prior to departure. Booking your flights early will also save you money. You can always change your mind and you won’t be charged to transfer to a different trip before your final payment is due.

We work with licensed local guides who are experts in the destination and/or activity they are leading. In addition, on our group tours, you will be traveling with a trip leader who will be with you throughout the tour to ensure the smooth operation of the trip, handling all of the local logistics, and dealing with any unforeseen situations that may arise. Our trip leaders are always on hand, every day of the trip, to provide additional information, deal with any problems or itinerary changes that might arise, create spontaneous activities, join the group for non-included activities and meals, and ensure that the journey is as memorable, fun, and informative as possible.

Yes. There is usually designated “free time” built into the itinerary so you can explore on your own. Our guides and your trip leader will be on hand to give you suggestions, help you decide what to do, and be around to assist with any transportation or other needs. We want you to explore and break out of your comfort zone!

Reservations on the tour are typically limited to a maximum of two per person to ensure that everyone who wants to go has the opportunity to do so. Should you have a request to book more than 2 spots, please contact us.

We primarily use 4* star hotels for our group trips in combination with cultural experiences such as eco-lodges, desert and jungle camps, sailing yachts, sleeper trains, and other multi-share sleeping quarters. Please check the individual itinerary for information.

Yes, all participants are required to have travel insurance for the duration of the trip. You will be asked to submit this prior to departure and if you don’t have it, you won’t be able to continue on the tour.

Yes, on our group trips, there is a minimum age requirement of 21 years of age.

Yes, you’ll be required to fill out and sign a liability waiver releasing us from any and all liability related to the tour. In addition, some local tour operators may also have a liability waiver for you to sign before participating in an adventurous activity.

Your travel insurance should cover you for any medical visits you may require while traveling. Should you test positive for COVID during a trip, we will follow the recommendations of the local government.

We understand plans change. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, but can be transferred to another trip within one year after booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to the start date of the trip. No refunds will be given after the due date. To review the full terms and conditions, please visit https://adventurepeople.net/terms-conditions/.

People sometimes have to cancel due to reasons outside of their control. If a trip is full and you’d like to be added to our waiting list, please email us at hello@adventurepeople.net
